Trump’s Gaza Colonization Plan: Luxury skyscrapers on top of mass graves

By Ahmad Abuznaid, USCPR Action’s Executive Director

Through every stage of this ongoing genocide, U.S. government officials have spun grotesque PR schemes to cover up the fact that our tax dollars are fueling horrific atrocities.

Take the airdropped aid packages that struck and killed Palestinians (1). Or the U.S./Israeli-run concentration camp sites where Israeli soldiers massacred Palestinian aid seekers (2). Or this so-called “ceasefire” that grants Israel a free pass to keep slaughtering Palestinians on a near-daily basis, with 500+ murdered over 115 days (3).

Now we’ve entered a new dangerous iteration: Trump’s colonization plan to remove more native Palestinians from Gaza and build a high-tech metropolis on top of their mass graves (4).

Trump is trying to sell this as a “peace plan,” claiming the “war is over” as Israel drops U.S.-made bombs and Palestinian bodies pile up (5). You and I know better. It’s all a lie.

His son-in-law Jared Kushner recently presented this colonization plan on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Switzerland, showing how the U.S. would illegally carve up Gaza to hand it over to Israeli or other foreign authorities. Take a look at this infographic from Al Jazeera:

BLOCK THE BOMBS OVER GAZA

Make no mistake: This is land theft. This is colonization. Underneath the gloss of Kushner’s PowerPoint slides marketing a “new Gaza” with luxury skyscrapers to investors, the stark reality is extremely disturbing and dystopian (6).

Here’s what Trump’s Gaza colonization plan really entails:

  • Forcing thousands more Palestinians off their land. The map that Jared Kushner presented clearly shows less space for residential housing in an already extremely crowded enclave. This would require the forced removal of even more Palestinians en masse, a war crime (7).

  • Foreign governance chaired by Trump. Trump would indefinitely chair the “Board of Peace”—or as it would more aptly be called, the Board of Thieves—as the highest governing body. He’s appointed Jared Kushner, Steve Witkoff, UK’s Tony Blair, and the architect of this genocide, Israeli war criminal Netanyahu, to this board, but of course zero Palestinians (8).

  • Concentration camps under Israeli military control. Leaked documents obtained by Drop Site News reveal U.S. plans for a concentration camp “community” in Rafah to be replicated across Gaza. Palestinians would be corralled inside concentrated residential zones, monitored and controlled by Israel through checkpoints, biometric surveillance, electronic wallets, and reeducation programs (9).

All while Trump keeps sending constant shipments of deadly weapons to arm Israel’s genocidal military. On Friday, Trump bypassed Congress to fast-track $6.67 billion worth of weapons to Israel, including 30 Apache attack helicopters with rocket launchers (10).

This genocide must end, and that starts with cutting off the endless supply of weapons to Israel. Demand your representatives take action and support the Block the Bombs Act (H.R. 3565) led by Rep. Delia Ramirez.

BLOCK THE BOMBS OVER GAZA

Gaza is native Palestinian land. Gaza belongs to Palestinians. And the only people who should be in charge of Palestinian land are Palestinians, period.

No more colonizers. No more blockade. No more foreign interference. No more get-rich-quick schemes over the bones of our dead. Palestinians will rebuild our own future, our own ports, our own schools, and our own housing.
