Palestine Wins at the Polls as Dr. Abdul El-Sayed Defeats AIPAC

WASHINGTON, DC, AUGUST 5, 2026—Dr. Abdul El-Sayed has secured a historic victory in Michigan’s Democratic Senate primary, defeating over $60 million in outside spending.

AIPAC’s Super PAC alone dumped in over $30 million and still lost—its biggest dollar drop ever in a single race (1).

Abdul El-Sayed’s powerful message of Money Out of Politics, Money in Your Pocket, Medicare for All resonated with Michigan voters.

Pro-Palestine candidate Donavan McKinney (MI-13) also won his race in spite of AIPAC spending against him, and Rashida Tlaib (MI-12) won her primary again.

In St. Louis, long-time champion for Palestinian liberation Cori Bush put up a fierce fight, remaining principled in her politics in the face of an onslaught of AIPAC attack ads. AIPAC dumped over $3 million to buy her seat again (2), which amounts to foreign election influence (3).

USCPR Action is proud to have endorsed all of these candidates in our first slate of bold progressive leaders, elevenof whom have now won their primaries. Every candidate on this slate has committed to reject AIPAC, defend Palestinian rights, and end U.S. military funding to Israel.
